How did Judah Joseph get to New Netherland? Judah landed in what is now New York in 1656. When its founder Peter Stuyvesant was away, a large group of indigenous tribes, including Susquehannocks, invaded New Netherland, destroying homes, killing settlers, torching crops and taking prisoners.  Here is where Judah’s story begins.

The young man of 24 was taken prisoner, and rather than be involved in a prisoner swap he chose to become a Susquehannock warrior.  Only meeting the challenge of becoming Blue Eyes, a young warrior, will let him prove his worth.

Judah meets the tests but finds more conflict to overcome, proving his leadership to become Blue Eagle. Becoming a warrior, Judah pursues a hero’s journey and then finds redemption at Bear village.
